Touch screen phone are all the rage due to their flexible and easy usability. And with such a large and varied range available in 2011, theses touch activated handset have come a long way since the first handsets were released, and nowadays these useful devices make mobile communication and entertainment a more user friendly experience. Many of today's touch screen phones are highly responsive and much more user friendly than a standard keypad designed handset. Apple's iPhone 4 Smartphone comes with a good sized screen which measures 3.5 inches and supports multi touch controls. This is a HVGA touch screen which displays up to sixteen million colours for a beautiful viewing display. Pinch to zoom touch controls can be enjoyed on this screen, along with a four hundred and eighty pixel by three hundred and sixty pixel screen resolution, plus the Torch 9800 supports the BlackBerry 6 operating system.
HTC have many touch screen designed handset but two of the most recently released and with the best performance touch screens has to be the HTC Desire HD and the HTC Incredible S. The Desire HD has a 4.3 inch capacitive screen which displays up to sixteen million colours and a screen resolution of four hundred and eighty by eight hundred pixels. This Smartphone supports the Android™ version 2.2 operating system with the hugely popular HTC Sense™ user interface and the overall casing design is practical and slim in design. The Incredible S has a slightly smaller screen size measuring 4 inches but this is a Super LCD capacitive touch screen also displaying a staggering sixteen million colour display. LG's most impressive touch screen so far has to be the LG Optimus 2X as this dual core Smartphone comes with a stunning 4 inch TFT capacitive touch screen displaying up to sixteen million colours on a beautifully clear display with a four hundred and eighty by eight hundred pixel screen resolution. This Android Smartphone is fun and easy to use thanks to its responsive touch screen design.
Motorola are also keeping up with the competition by releasing the Motorola DEFY complete with its 3.7 inch TFT capacitive screen along with its on screen virtual QWERTY keyboard and its automatic rotate facility. This screen has a four hundred and eighty by eight hundred and fifty four pixel screen resolution providing a beautifully clear viewing display as well as very responsive controls.
Samsung have a wide selection of phones currently available and Samsung do it so well in my opinion as they offer users mid range and top end of the market Smartphone's together with superb touch screen designed casings. Two of the best Samsung handset are the Samsung I9000 Galaxy S and the Samsung S8530 Wave II which are both recently released and are impressing users with their capabilities. The I9000 Galaxy S has a 4 inch Super AMOLED touch screen displaying up to sixteen million colours whereas the Samsung S8530 Wave II's touch screen measures a little less at 3.7 inches and has a S LCD screen displaying the same amount of colours but with a four hundred and eighty by eight hundred pixel resolution. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA Arc and the XPERIA Play are both touch screen form Smartphone's and the viewing experience is amazing on both of these newly released handsets.
